MARKET SHEEP SHOW RULES

(See Exhibitors General Rules & Regulations)

               RULE 1.  All entries must be in place by 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2010

               ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries will close September 2, 2010.  Entries must be postmarked by

               September 2, 2010.  LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!  Exhibitors must be in

               3^rd grade or 9 years old to enter the show. 

               RULE 2.  ENTRY FEES: An entry fee of $15 per head must accompany each current  entry form.   

               SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED AT $15 PER HEAD! ENTRY FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE. 

*            PENS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST AT $5 PER PEN- MUST BE REQUESTED AT TIME OF  

               ENTRY

              ALL SHEEP MUST HAVE PREMISE ID TAGS FOLLOWING RULES OF THE ARKANSAS  

              LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY COMMISSION)– MUST BE OFFICIAL USDA TAG.  TAGS 

              CAN BE ORDERED VIA USDA AT (501)224-9515.

 RULE 3.  ENTRY FORMS: must be completed online.   ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE ONLINE

All printed computer receipts must be signed and include complete mailing address and phone number for owner &/or exhibitor. IN ORDER FOR ENTRIES TO BE COMPLETE THREE THINGS SHOULD BE INCLUDED, 1. CHECK OR MONEY ORDER, 2. PREMISE ID TAG INFORMATION ON EACH ANIMAL AND 3. Printed Computer receipt.  Mail receipt & payment to Four States Fair, 3700 East 50^th Street Texarkana, AR 71854.

                 RULE 4. ONLY ONE TRIP ACROSS SCALES FOR WEIGH IN!! Exhibitor will weigh their own

                 animal.  Weigh back must be within 5lbs of weight turned in. 

                 RULE 5.  OWNERSHIP: Health papers are required and will be checked.

                 RULE 6.  PASSES: Each exhibitor will be given 1 pass. Exhibitors will be allowed to purchase additional passes.  Pass allows 1 person through the South Gate only. Parking in designated areas only. Parking passes will be issued 1 per every 3 head entered.   

                 RULE 7.  ARRIVAL & RELEASE:  All entries in the Market Sheep Show must be in checked in with the livestock director by 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010.  All exhibits will be

                 released following the conclusion of the sheep show.

                 RULE 8.  TOOTH RULE WILL APPLY.

RULE 9.  Market Lambs will be weighed and broken down by light, medium & heavy.

Premiums paid 1^st – 3^rd Place additional premiums as follows:

**MINIMUM OF 50 HEAD WILL PAY $100 FOR GRAND CHAMPION &

$50 FOR RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION, 51 – 75 HEAD WILL PAY $150

FOR GRAND & $75 FOR RESERVE GRAND, 76 PLUS WILL PAY $200

FOR GRAND & $100 FOR RESERVE GRAND.

SHOWMANSHIP

Showmanship:  base date for determining age is 8-31-10

Junior Exhibitors - 9 to 12 years

Intermediate Exhibitors – 13 to 16 years

Senior Exhibitors – 17 years and over
