MARKET SWINE SHOW RULES
RULE 1. BARN WILL BE OPEN FOR ARRIVAL ON THURSDAY.SCALES WILL BE SET UP AND
OPEN FOR USE ALL DAY & NIGHT THURSDAY WILL CLOSE AT 8AM FRIDAY.ALL ANIMALS
MUST BE IN PLACE AND WEIGHT CARNDS TURNED IN AT THIS TIME.WE WILL WEIGH BACK
TOP TWO ANIMALS IN EACH CLASS. SCALES WILL BE MONITORED!!
RULE 2. ENTRY DEADLINE:
Entries will close AUG 21, 2020.LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!! Participation in
the Junior Market Swine Show is limited to members in good standing with their 4-H Club or FFA
Chapter. Exhibitors must be enrolled in, and attending, public or private elementary or
secondary school. Students must be between 3rd grade and their 1st semester of college in the
RULE 3.ENTRY FEES/FORMS:
An entry fee of $15 per head must accompany each entry. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE COMPLETED &
PAID ONLINE at www.fourstatesfair.com.PLEASE BRING YOUR COMPUTER RECEIPT WITH QR
CODE TO CHECK IN.ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, AND SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
WITHIN THE CLUB AT A $10 FEE PER HEAD!
RULE 4. Weights must be turned in to the Swine superintendents by 8 AM on Friday, Sept. 18th !!
RULE 5.OWNERSHIP: Health papers are required and will be checked.
RULE 6.ARRIVAL & RELEASE:
All entries in the Market Swine Show must be checked in with the livestock director by 8:00 AM.
Friday, September 18, 2020.All exhibits will be Released 30 minutes following the conclusion of the
swine show unless otherwise designated by Four States Fair Staff or Show Committee.
RULE 7.Weight Minimum 150# Max 280#.This will be a breed market show of gilts and barrows
shown together there must be a minimum of 10 animals per breed if not they will show as AOB.
RULE 8.Classes will be determined by weights.You must classify your own animals breed when
weight is turned in and show ring chairman will bump any animal unfit for that breed to crossbreed.
Weigh back must be within 5% of what is turned in.

$500 GRAND CHAMPION & $250 RESERVED GRAND CHAMPION
