MARKET LAMB SHOW RULES:
RULE 1. EXHIBITOR ELIGIBILTY.
Participation in the Junior Market Lamb Show is limited to members in good standing with their 4-H Club or FFA Chapter. Exhibitors must be enrolled in, and attending, public or private elementary or secondary school. Students must be between 3rd grade and their 1st semester of college in the fall.
RULE 2. ANIMAL ELIGIBILITY:
Tooth rule will apply. ALL lambs MUST have a premise ID tag – following the rules of the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission – MUST BE OFFICIAL USDA TAG. Tags can be ordered via USDA at (866)873-2824.
RULE 3. ENTRY DEADLINE:
Market Lamb entries will close AUGUST 20, 2021. Late entries will NOT be accepted.
RULE 4. ENTRY FEES/FORMS:
An entry fee of $20 per head must be paid for online. Entry fees are non-refundable! Substitutions are allowed at $10 per entry. ALL entries MUST be made AND paid online at ONLINE ENTRIES (fourstatesfair.com). You MUST bring your computer receipt with the QR code to check-in. In all cases, the Four States Fair management, staff, and directors reserve the right to accept or reject an application for entry.
RULE 5. HEALTH CERTIFICATES:
All animals will be required to have a current health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian that conforms to the requirements of the Arkansas Animal Health Commission. Health papers are required and will be checked upon arrival at the livestock gate.
ALL lambs MUST have a premise ID tag – following the rules of the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission – MUST BE OFFICIAL USDA TAG. Tags can be ordered via USDA at (866)873-2824.
RULE 6. WEIGH-IN
Market Lambs will be weighed and broken into classes. ONLY one (1) trip across the official scales at weigh-in. Committee will weigh animals at check in for official weight.
RULE 7. ARRIVAL & RELEASE:
All entries in the Market Lamb Show must be in checked in with the livestock director by 9AM,
Wednesday, September 15, 2021. All exhibits will be released following the conclusion of the lamb show.
RULE 8. PREMIUMS
Premiums paid 1st – 3rd Place
Additional premiums as follows:
minimum of 50 head exhibited will pay $100 for Champion & $50 for Reserve Champion
51 – 75 head exhibited will pay $150 for Champion & $75 for Reserve Champion
76 plus head exhibited will pay $200 for Champion & $100 for Reserve Champion
